Prefix Photo is a nationally mandated magazine committed to contemporary photography and related arts. Characterized by innovative design and outstanding production values, Prefix Photo features portfolio and essay sections, providing a complement of intelligent texts and breath-taking visuals. These features are supported by newsbriefs with information and opportunities for professional photographers, including new technological developments. Prefix Photo represents photography from all geographical regions of Canada and the world, created by established and emerging artists.

Prefix Photo is published twice annually, in May and November, by Prefix Institute of Contemporary Art in Toronto, Canada. The magazine has a preliminary circulation of 2,500 and is growing steadily. Prefix Photo has become Canada's most prestigious forum for contemporary photography and related arts.
